The 14th edition of The National Job Fair & Training Expo continues today after thousands of people attended the first day on Tuesday, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North building, Exhibition Hall C.

The event, presented in collaboration with the Toronto SUN, 24 Hours, Employment Ontario and the Government of New Brunswick offers more than 7,000 jobs, entrepreneurship opportunities, training and education offers and career services in over 80 sectors.

Visitors will be able to meet with more than 800 recruiters, career specialists, HR professionals and admission officers, thanks to the presence of over 170 exhibitors from Ontario and other provinces.

"In a time that is characterized by much doom and gloom, we want job seekers to know that good opportunities are available," says Daniel Levesque, The National Job Fair & Training Expo president, founder and show manager. "We created an environment that supports employment in the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario as well eight other provinces."

"We are proud to work with Daniel and all the fair exhibitors -- returning and new -- to provide print and online products that help bring employers and potential employees together," says Kin-Man Lee, Toronto Sun publisher and CEO, at the opening speeches Tuesday morning.

The fair extends over four main pavilions. The Employment Pavilion has six featured zones: The Ontario, New Brunswick, Saskatchewan, Prince Edward Island, Relocation and Retail recruitment zones. The three other pavilions are dedicated to Training & Education, Career Services and Entrepreneurship.

The National Job Fair & Training Expo also offers several free interactive activities, including a New Canadians Employment Consulting Centre, a Professional Resume Assessment Centre, a Career Posting Zone, 18 public presentations and 12 entrepreneurship seminars.

General admission is $3.75 per person. The event opens at 10 a.m. today and closes at 7 p.m.
